To be a successful trader, using a combination of technical analysis and fundamental analysis is crucial. A number of new traders rely too heavily on technical and don’t pay attention to the fundamentals.

The V-shape seen on the 15 minute chart could indicate a market rejection of lower prices. Traders who have bought at support and closed with modest profits have proved successful over the recent trading

A recent pullback on the USDJPY could indicate a buy the dip opportunity. Fundamentals support a stronger USD with central bank divergence. Technical outlook can be seen below with the pair bouncing off

Gold rallied late Friday based on Powell's speech. It appears to be nearing resistance and therefore may be a short opportunity.

Option for traders to take advantage of the early news reports of US-Sino trade talks. The Nikkei up 0.13% today.

The markets in the last 30 minutes have started to retrace, gold, oil and usdjpy all moving in a bullish direction. Caution on Gold, possible buy the dip opportunity on oil.

USD pairs should follow and also Gold prices fall.

The EUR took a hit with the Turkey Lira sell-off, but the markets seem to be settling this morning with the expectation of a possible retracement on EUR pairs. Look to go long on EURNZD.

THE NZD is under pressure with the Westpac banking group predicting 0.64 by March next year.

As I mentioned recently Gold has been trading lower and sticking to a trend line. Based on this trend, look for entry points for further short positions.

Gold is holding support today at $1212 per oz. Keep an eye on the US 10 year bond yield, but there could be opportunity for a short if there isn't a bullish movement from support soon.

The EURGBP has been rallying of late. With GBP figures out tonight there is a chance of some retracement but with the market focused on Brexit issues, most analysts predict further downside for the GBP.
