Ah that makes sense. A while back I did a video about all of the major DAWS for Linux including Ardour & Harrison Mixbus(which is based on Ardour but it has a paid license/plugins). Ardour is amazing

Yes that's the word I was forgetting:'DIN' MIDI connection. Your MPKmini must be different than mine because it only has a USB connection, and a jack in for an expression pedal. Yours runs off of wall

I have the same exact controller. The Akai MPKmini. My 2nd-gen 2i4 has actual MIDI ports, but I haven't had the chance to use them yet because the MPKmini does MIDI over USB. I've not done much recording

Having a lot of RAM is a game-changer for video-editing. I've also used Flowblade, and there was a time when it seemed to outperform Kdenlive when actually editing on the timeline. I haven't used newest

Yes Kdenlive is the editor I use. 90% of my videos were done with Kdenlive. There's a few where I used Flowblade, but Kdenlive is the top for me hands down. Flowblade's stand-out feature is it has a GUI
