Como parte de los cambios que he estado implementando en mi vida, me he puesto más seria y comprometida con el tema de la alimentación, pues empezaba a eliminar alimentos y luego recaía, y lo mismo pasaba con el tema de hacer ayunos, pues la tentación siempre está presente y mi fuerza de voluntad se desvanecía. De hecho, llegué a bajar una aplicación paga con la finalidad de ayudarme en el proceso, pero luego de terminar el primer mes, desistí también. Todo es cuestión de tomarse en serio el proceso, y he llegado a un punto de no retorno en el que de seguir por la misma senda, terminaré en un psiquiátrico, pues han sido muchos años de descuido físico y emocional.

Así que desde hace una semana empecé nuevamente a hacer ayunos de 16 horas, con descansos los fines de semana, y aunque tampoco es que abusé estos días, si me quise permitir un antojo... ¡Craso error!

En el supermercado donde trabajo, habían llegado estos budines de chocolate con almendras, que me tenían tentada, pero resistí hasta el día de hoy que compré uno para comer a media mañana, y aunque honestamente sabe muy bien, mi cuerpo no toleró más de un trozo pequeño.

La masa estaba húmeda, las almendras se sentían frescas, y quizás en otro momento yo habría disfrutado de comer y hasta repetir este budín, pero ya luego de 6 días de cuidarme de comer harinas, grasas, y productos procesados, mi organismo al parecer vio esto como un intruso y me generó malestar general.

Ya luego quedó para las meriendas de mi hijo mayor que come cualquier cosa comestible, por lo que no se pierde el producto, pero esta experiencia me queda como un recordatorio para mi misma, que debo seguir por la senda que elegí cruzar hasta volver a lograr mi equilibrio físico y emocional.

The dough was moist, the almonds felt fresh, and maybe at another time I would have enjoyed eating and even having seconds of this pudding, but after 6 days of being careful about eating flour, fats, and processed foods, my body apparently saw this as an intruder and made me feel generally unwell.
