On the fence with the Sierras
Here's a photo I took while hanging out next to an old property/fence-line right off the highway. The snow capped Sierra Mountains are pictured in the background.

Independence, Ca.
The desert in Independence, Ca. has the Sierra mountains on one side covered in snow while the other side is sees nothing but dryness. The level that I was hiking around was around 25-30 degrees Fahrenheit.
