RE: Nana Nini is ticked off
That sounds very hard and frustrating for you, your family and your son. I hope he is able to find work again soon.

RE: Bathers Bay, Stewart Island
Actually it wasn't very cold at all. I was out there without a warm jacket (as I had left it at home accidentally) so I had only a $4 plastic poncho on from the local 4 Square as protection from the rain.

RE: Stewart Island, New Zealand
Definitely worth a visit if you ever get the opportunity. That's an interesting fact too. I didn't know that either.

RE: Stewart Island, New Zealand
It really is a beautiful country, I feel lucky to live here. If you ever make it over, make sure you venture past Auckland (our largest city). It's a lovely city but there's so much more to the country

RE: bye-bye summer (& sickness?)
It's nice having things from holidays/trips away because they can help keep the memories of the nice times alive, well I think so anyway. Definitely a great piece of clothing to keep!

RE: bye-bye summer (& sickness?)
Love the hat, it really suits you. And the list of things that make you happy and feel better sounds pretty good to me. We are just heading into better weather here and I'm really excited for the summer

RE: Vacation Means...
Enjoy your holiday. We are about to head away for 4 nights on a mini-holiday with our 23 month old. Including taking her on her first plane trip. I'm really looking forward to it and we've been explaining

RE: A day in the garden
Yes, I love spring! Our daffodils are coming out now and look beautiful. It's so much fun. I just need to keep on top of the weeds that love spring too!

RE: Gratitude leads to happiness - Day 30
The simple things really are great. I love feeling satisfaction for the small things that happen or I have. Smiles definitely are good.

RE: Be kind - Kindness rocks
I really love this post and the rocks. I agree, the one I liked best was "today is a gift, unwrap it". This is such a cool idea, I might make some with my daughter. I hope you are feeling better

Yeah, it's going to be fun trying to teach my wee one too. There's definitely some negative / grumpy influencers in the family! Haha :D. So if I can teach her to just be herself and not be impacted by

RE: NZ Book Month: author 4 - Essie Summers
That is really interesting. I have never heard of Essie Summers which is quite sad, especially considering that I lived in Dunedin for many years. It would be fantastic if she was recognised for her work

RE: KURATAU IS ONE OF THE MOST SCENIC PLACES IN NEW ZEALAND
Those photos are stunning. We live in such a beautiful country. Next time we get up North I definitely want to stop and stay a night at Kuratau. It sounds like my kind of place. I tend to choose quiet,

My sister is the same as you. She has a very short sleep (around 5 hours each night) and can't nap during the day, no matter how tired she is. I'm the exact opposite! I can (and do) sleep anywhere! It's
