Yes, we were using chicken liver. However, if I wanted to keep the smaller ones off my line and hold out for a big one, I'd use cut bluegill. In my experience, the larger ones favor cut bait over chicken

The short version is: I like them. I wasn't sure when I first switched. The zero drop thing is definitely a different feel. The first few runs I felt like my calves were stressed a bit because of that.

I love fly fishing, but I have to say I've found the learning curve rather steep. Experienced fly fishermen still rattle off terms that I don't know the meaning of, and I still hook about as many flies

Thanks! Early morning running seems to be the best for picture taking. Before the fog lifts and the sun gets too bright for good lighting. It's one of the things that gets me out of bed in the morning.

Thanks for the comment, and the support! Winter is one of my favorite times to go Steelhead fishing. When the weather is warm, the banks are crowded with fishermen. When it's cold, a person can have some
