> Welcome to the second episode of the "How to Draw" series. I am a fan of Fantasy Novels and arts. I often read and draw fantastic maps to create a world. I draw the fantasy world of Steemit before you can see [here](https://steemit.com/art/@ruen/drawing-fantasy-map-using-steemit-logo). Fantasy maps are great way to express your fantastic world. If you are a writer maps makes everything easier. In this real world we don't have 13 dwarves , 1 hobbit and a wizard going trough an adventure to claim the gold with a mountain map. But we have our imagination to create something of our own. In this episode of "How to draw" i am gonna show you simple way of drawing mountains for your fantasy map in three steps. --- **Step 1** --- ![01-dag.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmYQcMrcBnr3GhmAoR88RCm4Wxd6mwcPK4iQE6aTo7PfYo/01-dag.jpg) > In this first step you can experiment different lines here. Just imagine the top of the mountain and draw freely on the paper. Do not fear , your line do not have to be perfect. You just need to extend the lines to create the mountain's body. Imagine where the sun might be and place the shadows opposite sides. Maybe you can write a little story about a man who lives on the mountains or write a song about the woodsman living near the lake.
