It all started at a time when the routine had me trapped. Despite practicing sports, I felt that I lacked the energy to lead a normal daily life. I planned workouts, executed my routine, and everything seemed to be in order, but emotionally I felt overwhelmed, physically exhausted, lost, and without results.

It was there that I decided to take the leap: to change my approach from traditional training to strength training as a ritual of reconstruction. I faced the bar not to lift weight, but to lift my spirits, my energy, my being. Each repetition was a negotiation between the body and the mind. I learned to breathe, to be patient, to understand that progress is not always visible in the mirror, but rather in the way we face life.

There were days when I failed repetitions, when I felt like I wasn't making progress. There were cold early mornings, pain, frustration. But there were also moments of clarity, of pure resilience. I discovered that I was capable of tolerating effort, of persevering when the easiest thing to do was to give up. As a doctor, I saw how this discipline changed not only my body but also my ability to empathize, to listen, to accompany. El entrenamiento de fuerza no solo cambio mi cuerpo, cambio mi vida. Durante años, el entrenamiento ha sido parte de mi vida, pero el entrenamiento de fuerza marcó un antes y un después. No solo es cuestión de músculo o estética, sino de energía, vitalidad y estabilidad emocional. Esta publicación es mi testimonio compartiendo lo que esta disciplina me ha enseñado y cómo puede transformar tu vida.

Todo comenzó en un momento en el que la rutina me tenía atrapado. A pesar de practicar deportes sentía que me faltaba energía para poder llevar una vida cotidiana con normalidad. Planificaba entrenamientos, ejecutaba mi rutina y aparentemente todo parecía estar en orden, pero emocionalmente me sentía agobiado, agotado físicamente, sin rumbo ni resultados.

Fue allí donde decidí dar el salto: cambiar mi enfoque del entrenamiento tradicional al entrenamiento de fuerza como ritual de reconstrucción. Me enfrenté a la barra no para levantar peso, sino para levantar mi ánimo, mi energía, mi ser. Cada repetición era una negociación entre el cuerpo y la mente. Aprendí a respirar, a ser paciente, a entender que el progreso no siempre es visible en el espejo, pero sí en la forma en que enfrentamos la vida.

Hubo días en los que fallé repeticiones, en los que sentí que no avanzaba. Hubo madrugadas frías, dolores, frustración. Pero también hubo momentos de claridad, de resiliencia pura. Me descubrí capaz de tolerar el esfuerzo, de resistir cuando lo más fácil era rendirme. Aprendí que la verdadera fuerza no se mide en kilos, sino en tu voluntad de seguir, aun cuando todo parece ir en contra.

Como médico, vi cómo esta disciplina cambiaba no solo mi cuerpo, sino mi capacidad de empatizar, de escuchar, de acompañar. Empecé a integrar el entrenamiento de fuerza como parte de las recomendaciones para mis pacientes, no por moda, sino por medicina preventiva. Porque cuando fortaleces el cuerpo, fortaleces también tu percepción de ti mismo.

Hoy no entreno por estética. Entreno porque quiero estar presente, ser emocionalmente estable en medio del caos.
