Quick & Easy guide on mining Ethereum for Windows users

Hello my friends! With this page I will try to explain how to mine Ethereum in a quick and simplified way. If you don’t care on the ‘wisdom’ behind every step and just want to start mining and make money, follow me!

I have selected the program “Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred AMD GPU Miner” since I got the best performance out of it. Furthermore, it will guide you to mine in a pool, which is less risky and allows you to have a stable income of Ethereum.

Ready to go?

Step 1. Downloading the program

Save the file at the place you wish. Unzip the file.

Step 2. Get the proper files

Search for “Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred AMD GPU Miner v4.1 - POOL Catalyst 15.12”

Unzip the file.

Step 3. Get ready to mine!

Now you have the following screen in front of you (but in English, mine is in Dutch).

Click right mouse button on “start” and select on “edit”. The file will now automatically open in Notepad.

Remove all the text and paste the following: EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu1.ethpool.org:3333 -ewal 0xD69af2A796A737A103F12d2f0BCC563a13900E6F -epsw x

The “0xD69af2A796A737A103F12d2f0BCC563a13900E6F” should be replaced with your wallet address.

The “eu1.ethpool.org:3333” can be replaced with any pool address you prefer. This example contains the address of Ethpool for Europe, but can be substituted with the address of for example Nanopool or Dwarfpool. Visit their websites to get information on the address, fees and pay out timings.

After you have selected the pool address and paste the address in the same way as mentioned before, save the file and close it.

Double click on the same file (“start”).
