I recently found out @oracle-d is providing api for free and fast creation of steem account using their RCs. So far @share2steem and @dtaste is using it.

A self sufficient model is needed for steemit. It can't keep on having to rely on selling steem. This is bad for steem community too

Steemit cannot depend on selling steem forever. With so many users using steem, they must find a way to monetize this.
