Since 24 November 2011, saman dance has been designated as one of Indonesia's Unique Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. To support the saman dance as Unique Cultural Heritage, the local government Gayo lues was made an event "mass saman dance event" in several times. it was the first time in history saman played by 10001 artist
