The bottom of the buildings isn't the strongest point this video makes. She is making the point that the entire building should be below the horizon. With enough curve, and by the way the formula is 8

Look at this video and read the description. Assuming the math checks out, this would prove the curvature is either nonexistent or much less sloped than previously thought - aka the diameter of the earth

Jeffjagoe, the statue of liberty can be seen on the open ocean from 65 miles. At the distance, the curvature of the earth should put the statue nearly 2,000 feet below the horizon... Except, it doesn't.

The only problem with this observation is that you are using your naked eye. Go and purchase a Nikon p900 camera that allows an 83x zoom, and what you will find is that you can zoom in and see the base
