Cryptocurrencies attached to some of these blockchains plays notable roles in the global economy and financial systems. Social media haven’t been left behind in the blockchain revolution. Building communities and encouraging the development of the culture of communism is a global goal. Social media serves as a tool towards the pursuit of this goal with different social media platforms giving birth to a number of successful social groups and communities of people bound by a common goal. The HIVE blockchain upholds the community culture and was born out of the zeal to maintain decentralization and encourage the sharing of worthwhile information and ideas devoid of censorship and mutations. The internet age have also seen the rise of Africans on the internet and on every social media platforms. As the number of enthusiastic content creators grows on the hive blockchain, HIVEAFRICA is determined to encourage this stream of content creators as they strive to make their creativity shine on the platform. The HIVEAFRICA community will be a home for contents related to the African continet this includes the everyday activities of people living in or once visited Africa, tour experience and observations about any region/activity in Africa. The HiveAfrica community and its members will support contents which complies with the community specifications.

Introducing Africans to the blockchain

Despite being around for over a decade, the concept of blockchain technology is yet to be fully understood by Africans. Being relatively slower than many other continents in terms of adoption of technology, many Africans who are relatively competent in the use and social media still doubt the credibility of blockchain and cryptocurrency projects such as Hive. Being created in Africa for Africans, HIVEAFRICA will set the pace for Africans on social media to allow them understand better these concepts and take active part in it. As a continent filled with creative people, the presence of Africans is bound to be felt in any community which they are active part of. HiveAfrica is poised to build an active community of people who are pretty new and also people who are used to the blockchain as a social media tool.

Promoting Africans on the Hive Blockchain

Having brought together Africans on the hive blockchain, HIVEAFRICA, its community and the Hive community will support African content creators who create original contents on the Hive blockchain. Member support through post curation and author promotion to encourage content creators from the content of Africa will form the bulk of promotional tactics by HIVEAFRICA for its members as well as other members of the hive community. The HIVEAFRICA tag will aid easy discovery of the authors and they contents.
