RE: I am a collector
Yup, definitely caught the Steemmonsters bug. I'm one of those 90's magic kids so I've always had a soft spot for ccg's. I used to collect boardgames too, but I've entered kind of a 'minimalist' stage

Nope, just takes advantage of the material at hand :). I have been around, but writing fiction on my other account (@foxfiction). Spending lots of time writing for the Steemmonsters game π

Beautiful crew you have :) I've always been interested in Akitas, but then I tend to like large white dogs... They tend to be a bit of a handful though, don't they? As far as the names of the kitties,

Yes,this is something that really gets to me as well, particularly in the sense that people can get so caught up in the labeling that it feels impossible to say anything at all without offending some people.

RE: Self-Altered States, The False Mind-Body Dichotomy, and the Chemical Factories in our Glands
Interesting topic. I've noticed that as I get older I become a lot more susceptible to mood swings from substances as 'socially acceptable' as alcohol or nicotine even. In my youth I did all of the things

Definitely still early days - interestingly one of my animal behaviour profs back in the day reckoned that once we can read animal thoughts we may not find what they have to 'say' all that interesting.

I touched on the umwelt concept during some research I was doing for my Masters but didn't give much thought back then to how it would apply to colony organisms like ants. I still see organisms like that
