It’s life’s nature to have people come and go in our lives. But it’s surely a blessing to have someone or some people stick around you and stay. These people are certainly for keep!

I have a group of loving and crazy friends. We call our group #UGSFL which stands for UnderGround Squad For Life. You might say it’s a weird name. I totally agree with you. We came up with this since our offices can be found at the underground area of the school where we are teaching. Yes, we are a group of educators. If not because of our profession, we wouldn’t meet each other. Our underground office turned into another home where a family lives. We found shelter in one’s company. We’ve been friends for more than two years now and I’m telling you, it feels like a decade already. With them, I found sisters and brothers by heart. We’re inseparable. We click in almost everything. Most importantly, we got each other’s back. Always.

Let me share to you the things we LOVE to do together.

1. We love CHINGKEETEA!

It’s a famous tea here in our place where you get to choose milk tea or fruit tea, the flavour you like, and the add ons. Aside from the tea itself, we like the ambiance of the tea house. And there’s no internet connection there, which is great because it makes the tea experience more personal. We put gadgets away and just talk face to face. But if hectic schedule strikes at work, we have no worries for they’re just a call away and ready to deliver our favourite tea.

2. We love FOOD!

Whatever our mood is, food is our buddy. Honestly, food always bonds us together. We love hanging out and going to new places and explore variety of food. We call this our stress reliever also.

3. We love to DRESS UP ACCORDING TO A THEME!

It’s really fun when we do this. Whenever there’s an event, we always agree to dress up alike. There are times when we really go to a dressmaker’s shop just to have the exact attire we have in mind.

4. We love to TRAVEL!

With the kind of profession we have, a long weekend and a holiday would be the perfect time to travel. We usually go to faraway places to explore their beaches and/or swimming pools and enjoy the other sceneries.

5. We love TAKING PICTURES! (both selfie and groufie)

As what they say, people leave but memories don’t. And the nicest way to reminisce memories is to look at our collection of pictures together. If I have to sum all the pics we have together, it may be of thousands already. In addition to that, seventy percent of these pics are mine. What’s the use of being called as Selfie Queen, right?

6. We love PLAYING ARCADE!

When we’re free, we go to malls and spend our time in Fun Time. Fun Time is the place inside the mall where you can play various arcade games. This is super effective in relieving stress!

7. We love TO BE FIT!

This is still in progress. Seriously, we are having hard time to maintain this. We go to gym, sports centre and being careful as to what to eat. But still, we’re having fun doing these all.

Friends are the family we choose. It’s always a good time when you’re with your best of friends. You don’t have to pretend. You can be just the way you are.
