# ENGLISH. ***Greetings, friends of Hive Argentina, I am very happy to be among you today. This is my first post here, and it's a true pleasure 😊*** My beautiful friend @hylene74 invited me to participate in the contest, Street Dogs. When I saw what it was about, I was really excited because I love animals, and I truly have an adorable and beautiful story with my dog, his name is Sortario 😍 ***Street dogs: a problem or an opportunity?*** It is truly sad to see dogs on the streets. Most of them are seen by many people as a problem, and some individuals are even capable of abusing them. A long time ago, when I wasn't aware that animals also have feelings and needs, I thought it was normal to see dogs wandering aimlessly on the streets, alone, covered in fleas, and hungry. For me, it was normal to see them eating in the garbage. There were always dogs in my mother's house. They came from everywhere. I remember once there were about 5 dogs, and they were all fed. My mother was always very sensitive and loving toward them, so much so that they would come and stay there, guarding the house. Even though many of them came from the streets, none of us were ever bitten when we were little. No, they actually took care of us. From that moment on, I grew up with a lot of respect for them. I've always thought that if the neighbors had helped care for these dogs that came to my mother's house, they would surely have had a better quality of life. Also, if there were a law protecting them, everything would be better for them and the burden would be less heavy for my mother, although she gave them what little she did with love. Thank God, I grew up, matured, and began to love all of nature in a special way, including dogs. Now it breaks my heart to see them without a home. I think they're sad and many don't even realize it. But it's also true that in recent years, people have become more aware, and I believe there's more interest in adopting or rescuing dogs that are on the streets. He was in danger, about to be hit by a car. Luckily, on December 12, 2015, at 11 p.m., we rescued him from the streets, and he's still with us today. He was very sick, but with care and love, he recovered. It's been a lovely adventure to have him home. We gave him a chance, and he also gave us the opportunity to love in a special way. Street dogs are a problem because it's not fair that they're left wandering alone, and there's no law that's truly enforced to provide a decent place for them until they're adopted. They deserve a decent life; they're beautiful beings! But street dogs are also an opportunity to adopt and welcome someone in need into your home. It's an opportunity to love and save a life. I hope that one day laws will be passed that will protect dogs, and not just them, but other animals who are left alone, wandering aimlessly and in danger. But it's not enough that they are passed, they must be enforced. Microsoft Word Separators and Shapes.} --- --- # ESPAÑOL. ***Saludos amigos de Hive Argentina, me siento muy contenta de estar entre ustedes el día de hoy, esta es mi primera publicación acá y es un verdadero placer 😊*** Mi bella amiga @hylene74 me hizo la invitación para participar en el concurso, Perros de La Calle, realmente cuando vi de que se trataba me emocioné porque amo a los animales y la verdad tengo una adorable y hermosa historia con mi perrito, su nombre, Sortario 😍 ***¿Perros de la calle, un problema o una oportunidad?*** Verdaderamente es muy triste ver perros en las calles, la mayoría de ellos son vistos por muchas personas como un problema, incluso algunos individuos son capaces de maltratarlos, hace mucho tiempo atrás cuando no tenía mucha conciencia de que los animales también sienten y tienen necesidades yo veía normal ver perros en las calles vagando sin rumbo, solos, llenos de pulgas y hambrientos, para mí era normal verlos comer entre la basura. En casa de mi madre siempre hubo perros, ellos venían de todos lados, recuerdo que una vez habían como 5 perros y a todos se les daba de comer, mi madre siempre fue muy sensible y amorosa con ellos, tanto así que llegaban y allí se quedaban cuidando la casa, a pesar de que muchos venían de las calles, ninguno de nosotros que estábamos pequeños sufrimos alguna mordida, no, más bien nos cuidaban, desde ese momento crecí teniéndoles mucho respeto. Siempre he pensado que si los vecinos hubieran ayudado al cuidado de estos perros que llegaron a casa de mi madre, seguro hubieran tenido mejor calidad de vida o también, si existiera una ley que los protegiera, todo fuese mejor para ellos y la carga menos pesada para mi madre, aunque ella lo poco que les daba lo hacía con amor Gracias a Dios crecí, maduré y empecé a amar a toda la naturaleza de una manera especial, entre ellos los perros, ahora se me parte el corazón verlos sin un hogar, creo que están tristes y que muchos ni cuenta se dan, pero también es cierto que en los últimos años las personas toman más conciencia y creo que hay más interés por adoptar o rescatar perros que están en la calle, he conocido a personas que lo han hecho y yo misma he sido una de esas junto con mi esposo. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ![photo_4927020529186090823_x.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/carisma77/2432U4oPNf2AYTprcrtcWRdhbfbEpgdSn4oya89Ca76MTwaFXTQqusiqbmeVcFUVyuQ5u.jpg) //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Sortario es un hermoso peludo que encontramos vagando por la autopista del este en Caracas (Venezuela) él estaba en peligro a punto de que fuera atropellado por un carro, por suerte ese día 12 de Diciembre del año 2015 a las 11 de la noche, lo rescatamos de la calle y hoy día sigue con nosotros, él estaba muy enfermo pero con cuidados y amor se recuperó, ha sido una aventura adorable tenerlo en casa, nosotros le dimos una oportunidad y él nos dio también la oportunidad de amar de manera especial. Los perros en la calle son un problema porque no es justo que ellos estén solos vagando y que no haya una ley que realmente se cumpla en donde puedan tener un lugar digno hasta que sean adoptados, ellos merecen una vida digna, ¡son seres hermosos! Pero también los perros en la calle son una oportunidad para adoptar y acoger en el hogar a alguien que lo necesita, es una oportunidad para amar y para salvar una vida.
