Hello!! My name is Joana, I´m from Venezuela/Margarita Island, I have 25 years old and a degree in Bank Administration, but I´ve never worked in that área. Matter of fact I´ve just quitted my work where I´ve been for 6 years , a liquor distributor company where I was the Importation Analyst, that means that I had contacts with many people from all around the world, going from vinícolas of Chile, Argentina, till distributors of Portugal, Spain, South Africa, Brasil, distillery in the UK.

Hola!! Mi nombre es Joana, soy de Venezuela/Isla de Margarita, tengo 25 años y tengo un titulo en Administracion Bancaria, pero nunca he trabajado en esta area. De hecho acabo de dejar mi trabajo donde estuve por 6 años, una distribuidora de licores donde era Analista de Importacion, lo cual significaba que tenia contacto con muchas personas de todas partes del mundo, desde Vinicolas en Chile, Argentina, hasta distribuidores de licores en Portugal, España, Surafrica, Brasil e incluso el Reino Unido.

Do what makes you happy/ Haz lo que te hace Feliz

I really enjoyed my work but then one day I realized that the time has come to do things differently ,because i came to the conclusion that´s very sad to look how people spend their lives seated in the same place and when they decide to get up to do new things it may be too late... and definitively I Don’t want that for me!!!

So i decided to start a small business on my own in order to dedicate more time to myself to do the things i enjoy the most, and one of them are the adventures in the nature because they make me feel really alive!!!

And before going onto them I would really suggest that once in a while give yourselves stuff you´ve always wanted to do, do not let your lives to fall into a routine, like being seated all day long for a wage that won't do anything for your future, because you'll be working for other person's dream. Anyway, i may be not that good with my words but sure I am with adventures, so lets continue with them!!

Yo disfrutaba mucho mi trabajo, pero un dia me di cuenta de que habia llegado el momento de hacer las cosas de forma diferente, porque lelgue a la conclusion de que es muy triste ver como las personas pasan toda su vida sentados en el mismo lugar y cuando deciden pararse para hacer cosas nuevas puede que sea muy tarde... y definitivamente NO quiero eso para mi!!!

Entonces decidi empezar un pequeño negocio por mi cuenta para de esta forma dedicarme mas tiempo y hacer las cosas que disfruto mas, y una de ellas son las aventuras en la naturaleza porque me hacen sentir realmente viva!!!

Y antes de comenzar con ella me gustaria sugerirles que de vez en cuando nos demos cosas que siempre hemos querido hacer, no dejemos que nuestras vidas caigan en la rutina, como el estar sentados todo el dia por un sueldo que no hara nada bueno por nosotros en el futuro, porque realmente estas trabajando por el sueño de otra persona. De todas formas, quizas no soy tan buena con mis palabras pero les aseguro que si lo soy con mis aventuras, asi que comenzemos con ellas!!!

My Adventures/Mis Aventuras

Mostly i like to do outdoor activities because i really enjoy having thrilling emotions while enjoying the many beautiful places my country has to offer! Lets begin with the first one:

Mas que todo me gustan las actividades al aire libre relmente me gusta tener emociones fuertes mientras disfruto de los lugares hermosos que mi pais puede ofrecer! Comenzemos con la primera:

Paragliding/Parapente

Location: Junquito Highway/Caracas - Venezuela.

One of the things I really like is to fly in paragliding, it wasn´t very hard to take the decision to try it once I got the opportunity, I just did it!!! This adventure was in the Caracas city. on the Junquito higway.

I remember that I was with a group of friends and only one of them was willing to join me. Both of us were a bit terrified at the beginning, because you have to run and jump into an abyss before you start to glide in the air, but once up there you forget about the feelings of being scared! in the sky all that you feel is inner peace and the feeling of not wanting to touch the ground again. After doing it both of us agreed that it felt like one of the best experiences of our lives.

Una de las cosas que mas disfruto es volar en parapente, no me costo mucho tomar la decisión de hacerlo, simplemente se me presento la oportunidad y lo hice.

Recuerdo que iba con un grupo de amigos y solo logre convencer a 1 para que también se lanzara, estaba aterrado pero finalmente lo hizo y hasta hoy ha sido una de sus mayores experiencias, y créanme que lo único que se sienten cuando están arriba sobrevolando el cielo es paz y ganas no regresar a la tierra, aunque al principio si da un poquito de miedo porque tienes que salir corriendo y lanzarte al abismo, luego vas subiendo poco a poco, pero cuando estas arriba, se te olvida todo!

Kayak Ride

Laguna La Restinga, Margarita Island.

Here in margarita you can find the National park – Laguna de la Restinga, where I've got the chance to take a small kayak ride, and is amazing the amount of small ecosystems that exist in this place, they go from Seastars to a lot of birds that live in the area, matter of fact in the Flamingo´s season is beautiful to watch them fly all over you when they migrate from one zone of the island to the Laguna, but is important to not watch them with your mouth wide open because an accident may occur hahaha.

I highly recommend taking the night ride with the full moon because it is unforgettable and at end of it they offer you a spectacular dinner with sea food. I will tell you more about this place in another post but in the meantime i will leave here some photos:

Aquí en Margarita se encuentra El Parque Nacional - Laguna de la Restinga, donde tuve la oportunidad de hacer un recorrido en Kayak, y es impresionante la cantidad de ecosistemas que existen en este sitio, en la época de flamencos es realmente hermoso ver sobrevolar a todos sobre ti, pero es importante que no miren hacia arriba con la boca abierta porque puedes ocurrirles un accidente jajajaja.

Realmente les recomiendo tomar el paseo nocturno con la luna llena ya que la vista es espectacular y al final del recorrido te espera una cena super espectacular con frutos del mar. Les contare mas sobre este lugar en otro post pero mientras les voy dejando unas foticos:

Scuba Diving/Submarinismo

Location: Los Frailes Islands - Venezuela

Here is another piece of anothe super adventure that i would like to repeat, first we took a boat for aprox 20 min, from Beach El Tirano to a small island called Los Frailes, there we got a small induction to take the big step, or may i say... inmersion!!

Aquí un pedacito de otra super aventura que me gustaría repetir, primero tomamos un bote por 20min aprox. desde la playa el tirano en la isla de Margarita hasta una pequeña isla llamada los frailes, allí recibimos una inducción para luego dar el gran paso o mejor dicho... sumergirnos!

It was really difficult, from the 9 people that took the boat ride, only 3 of us had the courage to submerge to the bottom of the sea, and when I was there I felt that you don't need to go to mars to feel in another planet, down in the sea everything is different from what we have seen on the surface, and the deeper you are the bigger your nerves are, for being afraid of a “bigger sea creature than you” could appear, but in the end there where only small fishes, sea snails, and corals.

Esto fue realmente difícil, de 9 personas solo 3 tuvimos el valor de sumergirnos hasta el fondo de mar, y cuando estaba abajo me di cuenta que definitivamente no hace falta viajar a martes para sentir que estas en otro planeta, todo es totalmente distinto a lo que vemos en la superficie, y los nervios aumentan cada vez mas, por el temor de que alguna criatura mas grande que tu pueda aparecer pero por suerte solo habían peces pequeños, caracoles, arrecifes y algas.

4 Wheel Motorcycle Riding/Motocicleta a 4 Ruedas

Location: Coche Island - Venezuela

In one of the islands that conform the Nueva Esparta state, whose name is coche island, you take rides in 4x4 motorcycles and in no more than 40 minutes you can drive thru many beautiful places of this island. I will make a post about this with photographs and the specific route I took!!

En una de las islas que conforma el estado de Nueva esparta, llamada isla de coche, puedes tomar paseos en motocicletas 4x4 y en no mas que 40 minutos puedes manejar por muchos lugares hermosos de esta isla. En el futuro voy a hacer un post con muchas fotografias y la ruta especifia que tome!!

Angel Falls

Location: Canaima National Park - Venezuela

This next adventure is very amazing at least for me, because it was my dearest dream to visit the biggest and highest free waterfall of the world, and for my luck, it is in Venezuela!. The trip was a total journey, I missed my flight the first time I tried to do it, so I had to redo my whole trip plan, and it was quite difficult because you have to plan everything with at leats a month in advance when you are going to this place.

Like in my other adventures I will do a special post about this, detailing all the trip and amazing stories I had in this journey, here are some pictures i took in that journey:

La que viene ahora es la aventura mas impresionante por lo menos para mi, porque resulta que mi sueño mas grande era conocer la caída de agua más alta del mundo, y por suerte esta en mi país. El viaje fue una travesía total, con decirles que perdi mi vuelo y tuve que volver a planificar todo, porque conseguir pasaje aquí es difícil, aunque no lo crean hay que comprarlos con un mes de anticipación para esos sitios, al igual que las otras aventuras realizare un post especial detallando todo el recorrido y las anécdotas que tuve en ese viaje.

Here you can see the end of the waterfall , the wáter is cold but not that much to not take a small swim in it./Aca se puede ver el final de la caida de agua, el agua estaba algo fria pero no tanto como para no darse un pequeño baño.

Here is what it looks like from the campment we were, the day was perfect, without a doubt the best pic./ En esta foto se puede apreciar como se veia el Salto Angel dede el campamento, definitivamente la mejor fotografia.

In the last picture you can see on the shore the means of transport that we used to get to the place of the waterfall, they call them canoas and are manipulated by the local Indians of the place, by the way they were very very kind people that really care about the nature as much as they take care of their own lives, their culture is very nice and they teach you that life goes beyond from what we have ever seen or known.

Y eso que ven a la orilla son el medio de transporte que utilizamos para llegar al sitio, le dicen canoas y solo son manipuladas por los indígenas de ese lugar, por cierto son personas muy amables y cuidan la naturaleza como a su vida, su cultura es muy bonita, te enseñan que la vida va mas allá de todo lo que hemos visto y conocido.

The next picture, I'm sure you will like it, to get to this place we had to go behind a waterfall, just imagine the sensation of feeling a big wall of stones right next to you and on the other side have an insatiable wáterfall, just to sit there and contémplate the amazing of this virgin landscape that has never been touched by the man´s hand.

La siguiente imagen, estoy segura que les gustara, para llegar a ese lado donde estoy tuvimos que pasar atrás de la cortina de agua, solo imagínense la sensación de tener de un lado un gran muro de piedras arropándote y del otro lado una insaciable caída de agua, y luego te sientas a contemplar lo maravilloso de un paisaje virgen y digo virgen por que hasta ahora no ha sido tocado por la mano del hombre.

The history goes on, but I will leave it at this point because is the greatest of all and i want to save some pictures for the post I´m going to do about it!!

Conclusion/Conclusión

All this is amazing places are in my beautiful country Venezuela, i wish you have the chance to come and meet this magical places, i could give you more information about it and even repeat some of this amazing adventures, and as I said at the beginning of my presentation, we should do what we really enjoy in our lives,I would really enjoy to travel every corner of my country and show you guys a small piece of this to every and each place of the world that I could go to too, until know I have not had the chance to know the wonders of other countries, but I hope to have the chance to see it thru the Steemit world and therefore know all the amazing places of our planet!!

Todos estos lugares que les mostre se encuentran en mi bello pais Venezuela, deseo que puedan tener la oportunidad de venir y conocer estos magicos lugares, podria darles mas informacion sobre ellos e incluso repetir alguna de estas aventuras, y como dije al comienzo de mi presentacion, tenemos que recordar hacer lo que ealmente disfrutamos en nuestras vidas, a mi me encantaria recorrer cada esquina de mi pais y mostrarselos a todas las personas de los lugares que deseo visitar en el mundo, pero por ahora no he tenido la dicha de conocer las maravillas de otros paises, pero espero tener la oportnidad de hacerlo a traves de Steemit y de esa forma no perderme de todos los lugares asombrosos de nuestro planeta!!
