Debido a esto, dependo de férulas antiequinas para poder desplazarme en mi día a día. Las últimas que usaba me hacían perder el equilibrio y no permitían mantener una postura erguida, algo que suelo lograr con facilidad. Por lo tanto, era urgente conseguir un nuevo par de férulas. No está de más explicar por si les llama la atención, en que consisten estas Férulas Antiequinas así que les daré un pequeño resumen sobre su función. Estas son dispositivos ortopédicos diseñados para corregir o prevenir la deformidad en equino del pie, que se caracteriza por una posición anormal en la que el pie se encuentra en flexión plantar y aducción. Estas férulas se utilizan comúnmente en el tratamiento de condiciones como el pie equino, que puede ser congénito o adquirido (En mi caso personal). Su objetivo es mantener el pie en una posición adecuada para facilitar la correcta alineación y funcionalidad, mejorando así la movilidad y evitando complicaciones a largo plazo. Regresando al tema principal sobre mi experiencia, hace un tiempo una amiga muy cercana me habló sobre un centro ortopédico ubicado en Caracas, la capital de mi querido país, Venezuela. Because of this, I depend on anti-equine splints to be able to move around in my day to day life. The last ones I was using made me lose my balance and did not allow me to maintain an upright posture, something I usually achieve with ease. Therefore, it was urgent to get a new pair of splints. > It is not superfluous to explain what these Antiequin Splints consist of, so I will give you a brief summary of their function. These are orthopedic devices designed to correct or prevent equinus deformity of the foot, which is characterized by an abnormal position in which the foot is in plantar flexion and adduction. There, something caught my attention: the doctor in charge, owner of the orthopedics, had lost both lower limbs and used orthopedic prostheses to walk. This image of the doctor filled me with admiration and respect. All around him, other patients were also trying out their new prostheses, each with their own story and challenges. > In that environment, I reflected on life and the complaints we often express.
