#### ¡Hola Colmena! Luego de varios días vagando por esta blockchain he decidido dejar a un lado mi timidez y presentarme finalmente. A lo largo de mis veintiún añitos he sido llamada por una infinidad de diminutivos como Lenita, chichi (la pequeña de abuelo), kuklita (la muñequita de mi mamá), chiki (la niñita de mi hermano), Lenufy (por mis amigos más queridos) y la lista sigue, pero mi nombre completo es **Lena Sánchez Stolik** y soy de la hermosa isla de Cuba.

#### Hi Hive! After several days wandering around this blockchain I have decided to put aside my shyness and finally introduce myself. Throughout this twenty-one years I have been called by a myriad of diminutives such as Lenita, chichi (grandpa's little girl), kuklita (my mom's little russian doll), chiki (my brother's little one), Lenufy (by my dearest friends) and the list goes on, but my full name is **Lena Sánchez Stolik** and I am from the beautiful island of Cuba.

Desde pequeña ha sido mi naturaleza preguntarme cada cosa, y que la gran mayoría de esas preguntas no eran internas y le tocaban a mi mamá, al día de hoy me río, pero debió haber sido agotador. Para plasmar todas esas ideas y como parte de mi entretenimiento me regalaron un diario, y se volvió parte de mí el redactar. En una de las páginas está anotado con mucha autoridad “Metas: Cuando sea grande quiero ser física y fotógrafa.”, debí tener unos 8 años cuando escribí con todos mis plumones de colores esa idea; para el gusto de esa pequeña soy estudiante de Física de la Universidad de La Habana y mi tiempo libre se lo dedico con devoción a la fotografía, turnando lo digital con lo analógico.

Since I was a little girl it has been my nature to ask myself everything, and most of those questions were not so internal and it was up to my mother to answer them, to this day I laugh about it but it must have been exhausting. To capture all those ideas and as part of my entertainment I was given a diary, and it became part of me to write. On one of the pages is written with great authority “Goals: When I grow up I want to be a physicist and a photographer ", I must have been about 8 years old when I wrote with all my colored pens that idea; for the pleasure of that little girl I am a physics student at the University of Havana and I devote my free time to photography, taking turns between digital and analog.

Estudiar Física, tanto como otros pasatiempos (tocar piano, pintar, entre otros tantos), no han sido adoctrinados, pero tampoco han sido al azar, ya que mi familia está repleta de físicos, poetas y locos, como dicen los sabios, > la cabra siempre tira al monte, en mi caso se lo debo a mi abuelo, “bubu” cariñosamente, mi segundo padre.

Studying Physics, as well as other hobbies (playing piano, painting, among others), has not been indoctrinated, but it's no coincidence either, since my family is full of physicists, poets and madmen, as the sages say, > a leopard does not change its spots, in my case I owe it to my grandfather, “bubu” affectionately, my second father.

El apoyo de mi familia es fundamental, lo que hago es gracias a ellos y para ellos.

Por descabellado que nos pueda sonar, cada cual percibe la realidad de una manera diferente, y tal cual como hacen los poetas en sus versos y prosas, he encontrado en la fotografía documental un portal para expresar la mía.

However crazy as it may sound, everyone perceives reality very differently, and just as poets do when they write theirs in their verses and prose, I have found in documentary photography a portal to express mine.

Otro porciento de lo que soy se lo debo al deporte que ha sido la fuente para calmar lo inquieta que puedo llegar a ser. En mi aventura de probar todo lo que está a mi alcance he practicado windsurf, indoor clycling, yoga, kickboxing, crossfit y cilcismo. Está en mi voluntad que esa lista siga creciendo.

I owe another percentage of who I am to sports, which has been the source of calming the restlessness I can be. In my adventure of trying everything within my reach I have practiced windsurfing, indoor clycling, yoga, kickboxing, crossfit and cilcism. I'm determined to keep that list growing.

Es emocionante formar parte de esta plataforma. Busco ansiosa de compartir en varias comunidades series fotográficas e instantáneas, y convertirme en una especie de abeja más social de lo que soy en esta diversa colmena.

As overwhelming as it can be, it is exciting to be a part of this platform. I look forward to sharing in various communities photo series and snapshots, and becoming a kind of more social bee than I am in this diverse hive.
