Today I want to share with you how to make a lovely ladies' set. It's made with a beautiful floral fabric and a simple yet beautiful design. Join me as I share the step-by-step instructions:

Hace poco me encargaron un conjunto de dama que fuera lo más fresco posible, la chica lo quiere con camisa de mangas, bombachas, y un Short engomado corto, ideal para salir los domingos, el diseño de la tela me encantó ya que es de flores grandes y es en tonos marrones, para la confección de este conjunto. Aquí les dejo la lista de materiales a utilizar:
I was recently commissioned to make a women's outfit that was as cool and comfortable as possible. The client wanted a long-sleeved blouse, bloomers, and short, coated shorts—perfect for Sunday outings. I loved the fabric design; it has large flowers in shades of brown. Here's the list of materials you'll need:
- 1.25 m of printed fabric
- Scissors
- Measuring tape
- Interfacing
- Thread
- Basic pattern
- Sewing machine

Para la confección de este conjunto, vamos a comenzar por la blusa, colocamos la tela doblada a la mitad,por el lado del revés sobre nuestra mesa, la confección de esta blusa es bastante sencilla, ya que no es necesario que quede pegada al cuerpo, con esto quiere decir que nos llevará las pinzas para dar forma en el busto, así que podemos usar el patrón básico de camisa y le hacemos pequeñas modificaciones.
En mi caso haré las siguientes modificaciones: para el largo, lo dejaré un poco más abajo de la medida de la cintura, esto para que con el ruedo me quedé al ras de la cintura, en la parte delantera vamos a modificarle el cuello, el cual será en v con un escote más abajo del tradicional, luego de dibujar, cortamos la parte delantera, luego dibujamos la parte de atrás y cortamos y le hacemos una orilla a la parte delantera y en el cuello de la parte de atrás para embonar.
To make this outfit, we'll start with the blouse. Place the fabric folded in half, wrong side out, on your table. This blouse is quite simple to make, as it doesn't need to be fitted. This means it will have darts to shape the bust, so we can use a basic shirt pattern and make a few modifications.
In my case, I'll make the following modifications: for the length, I'll leave it slightly below the waist measurement, so that the hem will be at the waist. On the front, we'll modify the neckline, making it a V-neck with a lower neckline than traditional. After drawing the pattern, cut out the front piece, then draw the back piece and cut it out. Add a hem to the front and the back neckline for a neat finish.
Luego de cortar la camisa, vamos confeccionar el Short este lo haremos en sólo dos piezas, para esto me guío con el patrón básico de pantalón, coloco las dos partes juntas y dibujo. Sólo la parte superior aumento para el elástico y en las piernas dejo de largo un aproximado de 20 cm, esto es para que me quede el ruedo del Short bastante ancho
After cutting the shirt, we'll make the shorts. We'll do this in just two pieces. For this, I'm using the basic pants pattern. I place the two pieces together and draw them. I only add extra length to the top part for the elastic, and I leave the legs about 20 cm longer so the hem of the shorts will be quite wide.
En este paso comenzaremos con las costuras, para la blusa, vamos a colocarle entre tela a la orilla que cortamos para embonar, esta servirá también para los ojales y botones y que quede más firme, luego de pegarle, el entretela, vamos a unir a las piezas principales por toda la orilla, unimos la pieza del cuello a la parte de atrás, y luego unimos por los hombros todas las piezas embonando para que el acabado sea más delicado.
In this step we will begin with the seams. For the blouse, we will place interfacing along the edge we cut for joining. This will also serve for the buttonholes and buttons and will make it more firm. After gluing the interfacing, we will join the main pieces along the entire edge. We join the collar piece to the back, and then join all the pieces at the shoulders, joining them so that the finish is more delicate.
Cuando ya tengamos armada, la primera parte de nuestra blusa, vamos a tomar la medida en el contorno de manga para dibujar la manga en nuestra tela, esta le vamos a dejar un excedente de 5 cm en la parte del centro para poder colocarle goma en la orilla y hacerla bombacha.
Para esta técnica, yo uno con costura de una orilla hacia el centro de ambos lados, dejando un espacio de aproximadamente 3 cm, luego paso una costura a mano bateando con puntadas pequeñas, luego le doy el arruchado y luego pasó costura con la máquina.
Once we have the first part of our blouse assembled, we'll take the sleeve measurement to draw the sleeve pattern on our fabric. We'll leave a 5 cm seam allowance at the center to add elastic to the hem and make it puffed.
For this technique, I sew from one edge to the center of both sides, leaving a gap of approximately 3 cm. Then I hand-stitch with small batting stitches, gather the fabric, and finally sew it with the machine.
Ahora vamos a colocar el elástico en las mangas de nuestra blusa, para esto medimos el contorno del brazo y cortamos el elástico de la medida deseada, luego de unir el elástico le hacemos el ruedo en las mangas, unimos por los laterales, cortamos el excedente que quede en la parte inferior de la blusa y hacemos el ruedo, ya para finalizar hacemos los ojales y pegamos los botones y así con esto está lista esta linda blusa.
Now we're going to attach the elastic to the sleeves of our blouse. To do this, we measure the circumference of the arm and cut the elastic to the desired length. After attaching the elastic, we hem the sleeves. We join them at the sides, cut off any excess at the bottom of the blouse, and hem them as well. Finally, we make the buttonholes and attach the buttons, and with that, this lovely blouse is finished.
Ahora vamos a hacer las costuras para nuestro Short, este modelo de Short me parece bastante sencillo, le pasamos costura, uniendo el tiro delantero y el tiro de atrás, luego unimos por el fundillo, hacemos el ruedo, luego tomamos la medida de la cintura de la persona, le restamos 10 cm al elástico y luego unimos a nuestro Short. En este caso es este conjunto es talla S, así que la medida de la cintura debe quedar un aproximado de 60 cm.
Now we're going to sew our shorts. This shorts pattern seems quite simple to me. We sew the front and back crotch seams together, then we sew the seat seam, hem it, then take the person's waist measurement, subtract 10 cm for the elastic, and then attach it to our shorts. In this case, this set is a size S, so the waist measurement should be approximately 60 cm.
