Greetings everyone, I welcome you all to my blog.
It's another great day to listen to the word of God by his servant Bro Eli Soriano.
According to Bro. Eli, true meditation in the biblical sense is rooted in the law of God, not in the laws or traditions of men. This means that genuine biblical meditation focuses entirely on God’s commandments rather than human ideas or philosophies.
The laws of men are earthly in nature and often influenced by error and wrongdoing, but the law of God is holy and has the power to transform a person’s life for the better. Scripture supports this truth in Psalm 1:2, which says, “But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.”
This verse teaches us where our true delight should be found in the law of the Lord. It does not merely instruct us to appreciate God’s law, but also encourages us to meditate on it continually. Meditation, therefore, is an active and consistent reflection on God’s commandments.
The Bible also warns believers against being misled by human traditions. Titus 1:14 says, “Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.” This passage reminds us not to follow teachings that originate from men and lead people away from God’s truth.
Furthermore, Psalm 119:97 declares, “O how love I thy law! It is my meditation all day.” This verse expresses deep love for God’s law and shows that meditation on it should be constant and heartfelt.
In conclusion, biblical meditation involves studying and reflecting on the law of God while avoiding false teachings and commandments of men that contradict the truth. As believers, we should continually strive to meditate on God’s law day and night for spiritual growth and guidance.
