You’re probably thinking, “Hey look, this random guy is going to tell me how to pick up a girl/guy… Lame”. Well while that is true to an extent there is a bigger lesson at play, and that is, knowing you won’t always get the girl. So let’s start off with the simple questions today.

Where do I meet girls?

There isn’t much of a specific answer besides, almost everywhere. At your school/work, at the park, at the mall etc. The best places to meet a girl, is probably at a place you enjoy. For example, if you like doing yoga, then you can maybe meet a girl at your local yoga center. Internet dating has also taken the dating world by storm, with websites like matched, eharmony and “tinder”. You can also use these and there is no shame in using them. We are in the 21st century gentlemen.

What do I say to the girl when I approach her?

This is probably the million dollar question. The answer is… ANYTHING. Anything is a broad answer, so here are some example topics you could use.

Situation based

*It’s a really windy day*

“Today’s not a good day to be superman, cuz of the wind.”

Or a random thought you had in your head.

If you aren’t comfortable with these, you could always just ask the girl for help. Example: “Do you know where the nearest Starbucks/building/shop is?”. A girl is likely to actually help you. Then thank her and introduce yourself to her (she will introduce herself back). Then, make sure to follow up with a small conversation starter. The conversation could even be about how you already knew where the nearest Starbucks was and you just wanted to say hi to her, or it could be something completely different. Remember not to keep hammering her with questions, because it isn’t a job interview. Keep the conversation short (make sure to have a happy and energized tone) and ask her for her number. A pro tip, is to remember her name when she actually tells you it. Then when she gives you her number, introduce yourself again, just to remind her of your name (regardless if she remembered it the first time or not). She will love you forever if she forgot your name and you told her again without her having to ask you.

Example:

You: “Hey, I got to run, let me get your number. We can do this again sometime”. (Don’t ask for a number where she has the option to say no. Like “CAN I have your number”)

Her: “Sure my number is __________”

You: Say her name out loud while typing it and jot down her number.

You: “I’ll send you a text her name. I’m your name, it was nice meeting you”.

Then walk away.

It’s important you text her and not call her. Some girls feel uncomfortable with calls as its confronting. Send her a text within the next 24 hours so she doesn’t forget you. Do not text her something boring like “hi”. Make sure its engaging and something she would want to reply too.

Rejection

There’s no other nicer way of saying this gentlemen, but you will get rejected from time to time, unless you’re Justin Bieber. Don’t ever take rejection personally. If you get rejected, that is even better than success. Why you ask? It makes you stronger and dehumanizes you from rejection. It makes you more and more comfortable the more times you get rejected.
