RE: Castle hopping in Cornwall, UK
What a great post! I've never been to Cornwall, but the castles there are packed with history and I really should visit (I doubt I will now). King Arthur hails from that place - the Once and Future King!

RE: Milestones, Updates, and Sunsets
Congratulations! Two of the most humble and wonderful people I've met. The house is coming along! I love the open-feel of the living room, it already looks cosy and inviting. It's great to see your updates,

RE: Building a mouse proof raised bed
Update The wood ash has been wetted down and left to drain a little. We sifted 4 trugs of topsoil to put on top of the wood ash. Spread it around a bit... And all we have to do is put the seeds in - we

Yeah, it's sad... Keep going, I hope the reason you're being put into retirement is because the buildings are being taken back and lovingly restored (but I doubt it, unfortunately).

RE: becoming (An Original Short Story) part 1
I say it as I see it, you know me by now :) I love the plot twists too, especially if they work really well and can't be spotted a mile off. I'd love to see the story serialised. We're all good here, thank

Great photos and thank you for taking your life in your hands so we don't have to! These old buildings are being lost to us now and it's a shame. They were built to last back then. The cost of building

That's a hook! You've honed your storytelling skills with expertise, @ericvancewalton - I love what you've done. It's a story all on its own, but it also hints at more to come.

RE: Homestead Updates
Oh @ericvancewalton, you've been busy! That looks beautiful. We also have a fire-oriented project to start. We bought over a back-boiler stove when we moved from England. It goes in this year!

RE: Homestead Updates
It really is wonderful here! I can't believe it's true most of the time. Goran is a character for sure! I think we need to see pictures of the renovation process, just because ;) Where is the new house?

I love that blanket. It came with us when we moved to our first house and again when we moved her, to our second house. Not nosy, interested :) I made a blanket when I was pregnant with my daughter. I
