Just last week, I wrote to @jlinaresp, and told him that the work he was doing and what I had seen in the Black and White community and the publications made by the participants of #monomad, had motivated me to dust off my camera, which is a Panasonic Lumix G1 and go out and take some pictures. And indeed, on Sunday I did some tests with the camera from the balcony of my house and I realized that there are a number of functions and resources that my camera has, which I don't know how to use well yet, so I decided to get going and go out and take some pictures.

Caracas, a green city:

One of the situations I enjoy the most, when I go for a walk in the area where I live near the center of Caracas, is to see the huge contrast that surrounds me, since I live within walking distance of the center of the capital, but I am surrounded by trees and a formidable fauna or aerial ecosystem. So I thought I would go and take pictures of the herons, macaws, sparrow hawks, parakeets and paraulatas, among other birds, that one can see while walking towards the Puente Hierro road or towards Plaza Madariaga and there I came across another of the forms that I like most in nature and which I call sacred architecture, which are the shapes created by the branches of trees, stones and other natural structures. However, when I arrived at the place where the birds usually are, this time there were none, but I found that the entrance to the Quinta de Villa Zoila was open and they were celebrating Children's Day.

Caracas, una ciudad verde:

Una de las situaciones que más disfruto, cuando salgo a caminar en la zona donde vivo cerca del centro de Caracas, es ver el enorme contraste que me rodea, ya que vivo a poca distancia del centro de la capital, pero estoy rodeado de árboles y de una fauna o ecosistema aéreo formidable. Así que pensé ir a tomar fotos de las garzas, las guacamayas, los gavilanes, los pericos y las paraulatas, entre otras aves, que uno puede ver mientras camina hacia la vía de Puente Hierro o hacia la Plaza Madariaga y ahí me encontré con otra de las formas que más me gusta de la naturaleza y a la que yo llamo la arquitectura sagrada, que son las formas que crean las ramas de los árboles, las piedras y otras estructuras naturales. Sin embargo, cuando llegué al lugar en el que habitualmente están las aves, esta vez no había ninguna, pero me conseguí con que la entrada a la Quinta de Villa Zoila estaba abierta y estaban celebrando el día del Niño.

Children's Day::

La Quinta de Villa Zoila is a historic site in Venezuela, located in the Puente Hierro area of Caracas, it was a presidential house in the 19th century and has a rich history and anecdotes. Today this house is the School for the Preparation of Public Security Agents and is in the hands of the Bolivarian National Guard, who is in charge of its safekeeping and maintenance. Although access to the public is prohibited, on Sundays the Guardia Nacional Bolivariana, gives access to the population, so that they can enjoy the spaces of the square and the surroundings of the house. And the day I passed by there, they were celebrating Children's Day, where I took these photos that I share with you.

Día del Niño:

La Quinta de Villa Zoila es un sitio histórico de Venezuela, ubicado en la zona de Puente Hierro en Caracas, fue casa presidencial en el siglo 19 y tiene una historia y unas anécdotas muy ricas. Hoy en día esta casa es la Escuela Para la Preparación de Agentes de Seguridad Pública y está en manos de la Guardia Nacional Bolivariana, quien se encarga de su resguardo y mantenimiento. Aunque el acceso al público está prohibido, los días domingo la Guardia Nacional Bolivariana, da acceso a la población, para que disfrute los espacios de la plaza y los alrededores de la casa. Y el día que pasé por ahí, se estaba celebrando el día del niño, donde tomé estas fotos que comparto con ustedes.
