Testosterone Cypionate

The Testosterone Cypionate is an androgen and anabolic steroid that comes in the form of an injectable oil used by athletes and bodybuilders to help the body metabolize proteins to boost muscle mass, strength and recovery as well as helping to delay fatigue.

Testosterone is the main hormone found among men and whether it's natural or synthetic doesn’t change the effect on the body. It plays a key role in the development of male reproductive tissues, muscle mass and strength, increased bone density and bone maturation as well as promoting secondary sexual characteristics such as the growth of body hair, increased sex drive and a deepening of the voice.

Nitrogen retention is also helped by testosterone. A positive nitrogen balance is important and helps the body with tissue repair and to retain protein. Testosterone increases amounts of IGF-1 (Insulin-like growth factor 1) which plays a key role in childhood growth and continues to have anabolic effects in adults. IGF-1 also increases the amount of myosatellite cells which are capable of fusing with existing myofibers to facilitate rapid growth and repair.

Testosterone is the main hormone produced in male human bodies. The majority of anabolic and androgenic steroids used for performance enhancement by athletes and body builders are synthetic modifications of testosterone. Testosterone cypionate carries an anabolic/androgenic score of 100 boasting major advantages for body fat, muscle mass, bone density and red blood cell count. The higher the dosage, the more prominent the effect. For an athlete in the off-season, testosterone cypionate helps lean muscle mass to be built with less body fat gained when undergoing limited training.

Depending on your preparation requirements and the regularity and intensity of your training program, dosages can range from 250mg to 2000mg per week. Athletes and bodybuilders have found that it is more effective to split your weekly dosage into two injections to gain maximum effectiveness.

A common cycle period for athletes and bodybuilders using testosterone cypionate is around 16-22 weeks although some users never come off the steroid. Depending on the length of the cycle period, you may need to have a Post Cycle Therapy plan in place before you stop using testosterone cypionate.

All testosterone based steroids have side effects, testosterone cypionate can lead to the unbalance of hormones and the conversion of androgen (as testosterone) into estrogen which can cause the swelling of the breast tissue and an increase in water retention, as well as nausea and vomiting, headaches, increased or decreased sexual interest, changes to skin complexion, hair loss and acne.

Testosterone cypionate is available in two strengths, 100 mg per 1ml and 200 mg per 1ml. The injection is often sold in 10/20ml vials.

Please note - Testosterone cypionate is not recommended for women, can be detected up to 3 months after use and is active in the body for around 8 days.
