When we allow others to dictate... I think you captured the essence of what I was getting at with those words.

Sometimes I think I evaluate in circles trying to find a central point of understanding. Somewhere in that haze is something that will make sense - I hope :)

In a way life is one big potentiality. Learning to play the game is the difficulty.

So glad you liked this one. I find introversion to be a difficulty in communicating, not an unwillingness to do so. Which makes it so much harder to deal with at times.

I know that feeling you describe. For me also, it's like the energy required to project those words out to another is just too taxing. The words are there, but they rot away inside, unexpressed.

I like how much you get from this poem. That's always good to know. I think we all want to communicate - our ideas, our thoughts, the depths of our own selves - but words don't always do justice to that.

I appreciate your feedback, I'm glad you get the depth (or the attempt at it) that I am aiming at with these words. I have much experience with this subject matter, so it was easier to write :)

And it's probably easier to find when we start playing our own game and not one dictated by others. Right where we are, indeed :)

There are no maps for the land my mind's eye is fixed upon The journey of the spiritual trailblazers. Perhaps it is a territory that comes to us, when we are ready to embrace it. Then no maps are necessary.
