my steamit friends here i will disuss something about history that what is history Man is haunted by the spirit of inquisitiveness hr does not want to live in isolation. He is eager to know, study and understand his environment. He takes delight in knowing the past in order to compare and contrast his own life with that of the people who lived in the past. A famous saying : No study has so potent an influence in forming a nation's mind and a nation's character as a critical careful study of its past history. ccc

It provides us with the opportunity to profit by the stumbles and blunders of our fore-runner as liddell has rigidity remarked. the study of history is interesting useful and it is the fascinating tale of man's evolution, of his march on the road to civilization the mirror of water humanity thought and did during the many centuries which have rolled into oblivion. History should not merely gratify. history is a judicious selection, rejection and management of facts and we study it for the facts rather than for the moral the annals of mankind are rich i example of men, who achieved success in the face of the most insuperable difficulites. It is beyond doubt that man's salvation lies in uneasing and unremitting toil, a persistent endeavour to reach his goal, despite manifold difficulties Socrates cheerfully drank hemlock for the sake of truth Columbus sailed across the Atlantic and discovered the new world regardless pf the opposition and mutiny of the crew of hid vessel.

humanity has been studying history with various aims because history was written, preserved and treasured the time and tide could not sweep away the voluminous books of the record of the previous events. The character of any future war to be fought with A.H.N.C. bombs and intercontinental ballistic missiles, would be such that not only the historian would be destroyed but the record -past and present -will also be mutilated and annihilated.to save the rich heritage and hand it over to the posterity the human conscience must wake up to ban the engines of destruction and save the mankind from the inevitable danger. history has been treasured and studied, it must be safeguarded for the benefit of the posterity also. we are grateful to the past let the succeeding generation also take pride in us.
