Hey fellow Steemians and artists!

The Deadline for this season of the #designacharacter contest was **Thursday 5th of april** and we had a lot of great entries. It took me some time to work through all your wonderful entries and to choose my personal Top 3. It really was great too see how much work and creativity you guys put in your posts! Thank you! This season of the Contest, the Style Challenge, has started on **Thursday the 22nd of March 7pm UTC** and did run for 2 weeks. The Styles to choose from were:

1. Comic artist Mike Mignola

He has also created similarly themed titles for Dark Horse including Baltimore, The Amazing Screw-On Head and Joe Golem, Occult Detective. For reference check out [his Art](http://www.artofmikemignola.com/) You can use color in your design but try to create an image that works well in black & white too.

2. Illustrator Tony DiTerlizzi

In the gaming industry, he is best known for his work in the collectible card game Magic: The Gathering and on the Planescape product line for the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game. DiTerlizzi created The Spiderwick Chronicles series with Holly Black, and was an executive producer on the 2008 film adaptation of the series. And last but not least, a famous painter from the city where i was born...

3. Painter Gustav Klimt

Klimt is noted for his paintings, murals, sketches, and other objets d'art. Klimt's primary subject was the female body,and his works are marked by a frank eroticism. In addition to his figurative works, which include allegories and portraits, he painted landscapes. Among the artists of the Vienna Secession, Klimt was the most influenced by Japanese art and its methods.
