Marinette is an ordinary high school girl born to Baker parents, she's so awkward and lacks confidence in everything she does. One night, she saves a mysterious old man and he gifted her a "Miraculous" - a shiny gem that transformed her into a superhero, Ladybug.

At the same time, her high school crush Adrien who is the son of a millionaire fashion designer gains super powers, he becomes Cat Noir and they must work together to defeat their arch nemesis Hawkmoth to save Paris. Things get really complicated when Adrien falls in love without knowing she is Marinette, this means that they both have a thing for each other and also believe their love is unrequited.

The little bug right there is Tikki, the kwami of creation, she's the tiny genie that becomes one with Marinette and grants her superpowers immediately after she wears the gem.

For me, this movie was interesting even though someone said the storyline was basic, thats alright. I don't really care, I watch movies for entertainment and this one was entertaining, it's a French movie so it has subtitles. Am I the only one that also watch English movies with subtitles? I feel like it's better that way😊

**PROCESS**

I remember saying I'd love to do movie fanart once in two weeks but after doing Avatar which was in August, this is the second one, I should really keep to my words. For this work I would have easily done a portrait but nah, she's a superhero, she needs a cool pose so I chose this one knowing I was going to suffer😭

Did I suffer? I did, a little and I'm happy I tried. I did the sketch and placed everything where I wanted it. I painted flat colurs for her skin, body suit, hair, and eyemask before painting her facial features. I also painted little Tikki and her yoyo in action.

I started the rendering phase with her body suit and skin, I added highlights and shadows where necessary. I also painted facial features for tikki and added details to her and the yoyo. Painting the black dots was fast, I just did it randomly before adding details and more strands to her hair.

Finally I painted some pinkish lighting to different areas of her body suit and added a simple background, I hope you like this one...
