I might be missing something, but isn't Shazam the more popular version of this app? Shazam's free, works 99% of the time and you can get lyrics, connect with spotify, etc... it's been around for a while.

That's a good point. I wonder if anyone is taking popular bloggers' names in hopes that they'll one day try to buy it from them. For example making something like "dailymail" or "tasty"
