Believing in God is not simply a religious practice, it is our ideological belief based on life, scripture and daily experiences.
Creation is one of the good reasons why one believes in God. In Gen. 1:1, it is written in the Bible that God created the heavens and the earth in the beginning. The design of the universe, the seasons and the beauty of human life all testify to a very intelligent Creator, not a chance occurrence.
The other reason is the availability of God in human history. God had delivered Israel through prophets and finally revealed himself in the form of Jesus Christ, which is recorded in the Bible. These are not just any empty tales because they contain lessons of faith, and obedience and redemption which continue to resonate with us even today.
Personal experience is also undeniable. Lots of people have experienced the direction of God, His reassurance and calmness in the face of adversity.
During times of fear, loss or disappointment, our belief in God offers hope and guidance. Our belief in God can make us realize that life is not a pointless experience, pain is not a pointless experience, love and justice actually count. God never forsakes us, He is always there for us
