The belief in God is something which cannot be detected by our eyes. In my case, it is a self-experience, which is full of silence, questions and answers that appear in the most inconventional manner. The beauty and order I observe in the world around me is one of the reasons that I believe in God.
Psalm 19: 1 Bibles state that the heavens proclaim the glory of God; and the firmament show the handiwork of God. I see the sky, the stars and even the simple things in nature and I think that they did not happen by chance. There is a Creator doing it all.
The other reason I believe in God is due to the peace that I experience when I pray. Life is not a bed of roses and sometimes I feel weak or lost. However, when I speak to God, I feel relaxed as though someone is listening and is very concerned about me.
The Bible assures us in Philippians 4:6-7, that, Be careful for naught; but in all things, through prayer and supplication with thanksgiving make thy request known unto God. Personally I have this peace and now my belief is increased.
Another reason why I believe in God is that His word is true. The Bible also provides information on how to lead a good life, the way to treat others, the way to be hopeful even when times are tough.
The book of hebrews 11:1 states, Now faith is the substance of things hoped, the evidence of things not seen. This verse makes me have a reminder that, although I do not see God, it does not mean that he is not real and present.
I have experienced incidences in my life when things just fell into place. During these periods, I used to think that God was watching over me and even the times when I did not realize it at the beginning.
It says in proverbs 3:5, Trust in the Lord with all thy heart; and lean not unto th nepheni. I attempt to stick to this, particularly when life is in doubt.
To sum it up, I believe in God based on my vision or what I observe or feel or what I have ever had an experience. It is not flawless and I still have doubts at some points, yet, my faith is still developing. My faith in God makes me hopeful, strong, and into the belief that there is a time when I feel alone.
