Having faith in God is not only regarding what we hear in church, but also what we see and experience day by day. And when I observe the sky, the sun, the trees, and even my own life, I can see the evident traces of power and wisdom of God.
The Bible states that, the heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament is his handiwork (Psalm 19:1). All things in the world are in sequence. This did not occur accidentally. It demonstrates that there exists a wise Creator of it all.
The other compelling argument that makes me believe in God is that He speaks to our hearts through His word. I find a sense of comfort, correction and guidance when I read the bible. It shows me how to love, forgive and live properly.
Romans 1:20 states that; Since the beginning of the world His invisible qualities have been clearly evident. God reveals himself through creation and His word. I have numerous occasions when I feel at a loss or in dismay, a verse in a Bible provides me with the strength and serenity.
In addition, having faith in God transforms the life of an individual. I have also witnessed individuals, who were formerly angry, addicted, or hopeless, turning tender, pacifists, and loyal, because they knew God. This demonstrates that God is a real and a working being. According to Hebrews 11:6, he who comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of the diligently seeking. People are responded to whenever they are genuine in seeking God.
Lastly, God makes a promise that He will be discovered by people who actually seek Him. And you will know me and take me, when you know me with all your heart (Jeremiah 29:13). I trust in God as I have experienced his love, guidance, and mercy in my life. I do not have a perfect faith, although it is honest. By creation, the bible, transformed lives and experience, I believe that God exists and that I can trust him.
God bless his word
Amen
