I don't see any reason why NEO couldn't handle a whole lot of transactions. It did so during the XRP ICO, for example. So it's not actually interesting, NEO already won.

When I played around with a bot, I used the tools for Python linked on the bittrex homepage. There's also a script on github to load the historic price charts.

Well you know I work on NEO and I like it :) There will also be Cardano was initiated because of an academic consensus paper, and it's written in Haskell, which makes me like it.
