Nein, oft ist sie sogar auch eine trostlose, hoffnungslose Welt der inspirativen Verdammnis! Aber wenn das nicht Inspiration genug ist, weiß ich auch nichts Besseres.

But nothing came to mind about what I could make one about. I sat there and pondered, looked at masterpieces made by great collage artists, searched Pixabay and lmac.gallery for inspirational images and looked around the room to see if inspiration might be lurking behind one of my many file organizers, the monitors, the office cabinet or under my chair. But inspiration seemed to stay away. I felt like I was sitting on a rock in the middle of the desert in my office chair - where there was nothing that could provide inspiration. My view for great ideas seemed to blur as if looking through a thick veil of hair. And the thirst for a great idea burned like a hot desert sun on the back of my neck. After all, the GIMP was already open on my computer, a hot cup of coffee was steaming on my desk and a delicious, home-rolled tobacco product was ready to hand. So I was practically in the starting blocks. Only the main ingredient, the theme, was still missing. Creative thoughts kept flying through my head, which I wasn't able to grasp and form quickly enough because other thoughts were circling around them like vultures, nagging to thwart every landing of a more or less great idea. Frustrating! With defiance, I began to sketch my predicament in the image editing software, which was already open. I thought maybe the good idea, the inspiration, would somehow come around the corner in the meantime. “Hey, it's me - the good idea. \*hugs\* \*laughs\* \*high 5s\* Let's get started!” For the moment, it was a good idea to vent out my frustration over the lack of inspiration. At some point, however, I got to the point where I usually would do the final work on a collage. Finding and applying a suitable LUT, fixing a few mistakes, adding accidents. And I did it. That's when I realized that the journey was the real goal. I exported the finished picture and showed it to my wife because she wanted to know why I had seemed so frustrated the whole time. Her first comment on the picture: “Ih, I see. Another difficult birth, wasn't it?”

Aber mir fiel einfach nichts ein, worüber ich eine machen könnte. Da saß ich nun und grübelte, schaute mir Meisterwerke von großen Collagen-Künstlern an, durchsuchte Pixabay und lmac.gallery nach inspirativen Bildern und schaute im Raum um mich, ob hinter irgendeinem einem meiner vielen Aktenordner, den Monitoren, dem Büroschrank oder unter meinem Stuhl eine Inspiration lauern könnte. Doch die Inspirationen blieben fern. Ich kam mir auf meinem Bürostuhl vor, wie auf einem Fels mitten in der Wüste - Wo nichts ist, das inspiriert. Meine Sicht auf tolle Ideen, schien wie durch einen dicken Haarschleier zu verschwimmen. Und der Durst nach einer tollen Idee, brannte mir wie eine heiße Wüstensonne im Genick. Dabei war immerhin schon das GIMP auf meinem Rechner geöffnet, eine heiße Tasse Kaffee stand dampfend auf meinem Schreibtisch und ein leckeres, selbst gedrehtes Tabakprodukt lag griffbereit. Ich stand also schon quasi in den Startlöchern. Nur die Hauptzutat, das Thema fehlte noch. Immer wieder flogen kreative Gedankenfetzen durch meinen Kopf, die ich nicht schnell genug zu greifen und zu formen in der Lage war, weil andere Gedanken wie Geier um diese Gedanken kreisten, um jede Landung einer halbwegs tollen Idee nörgelnd zu vereiteln. Frustrierend! Trotzig begann ich, meine missliche Lage in der, bereits geöffneten, Bildbearbeitung-Software zu skizzieren. Ich dachte, vielleicht käme die gute Idee, die Inspiration ja in der Zwischenzeit irgendwie um die Ecke gelaufen. "Hey, ich bins - Die gute Idee. \*UMARMUNG\* \*GELÄCHTER\* \*High 5s\* Lass uns loslegen!" Für den Anfang, war es immerhin eine gute Idee, um meiner Frustration über die fernbleibende Inspiration Luft zu machen Irgendwann kam ich aber an den Punkt, an dem ich eigentlich immer die abschließenden Arbeiten an einer Collage machen würde. Ein passendes LUT zu finden und anzuwenden, ein paar Fehler auszubessern, Unfälle einzuschleusen. Und ich tat es. Genau da wurde mir bewusst, dass der Weg das eigentliche Ziel war. Ich exportierte das fertige Bild und zeigte es meiner Frau, weil sie wissen wollte, weshalb ich die ganze Zeit zu frustriert gewirkt habe. Ihr erster Kommentar auf das Bild: "Ah, ich sehe. War mal wieder eine schwere Geburt, nicht wahr?"
