Bronze heat eggs
So we have been busy (sorry for no updates) And we have been doing other sculptors work, and while welding a piece together, i couldnt help but love the colour effect given by the heat on the bronze egg!

Colouring the dragon
So we use patina which is a sulphur based product to stain and react with the bronze making it coloured. The more patina you use the darker brown it is. Take a look. The lighter wing is bronze, the rest

Facing fears
After drowning to the point of needing rescue breaths as a child, my girlfriend just climbed a huge mountain of fear. Tonight that girl got into a pool and after a few tears managed to swim 50 meters.

So we coloured the bronze! You do this with a sulpha patina, it reacts with the bronze to darken it. Heres a little sample on the dragons head

So after the previous posts, we put the big thing outside so we can colour it. Here it is in all its glory, all cleaned up waiting for colour and the flame to be added

So after the bronze is all welded up, we have to clean it, using a sand blaster, we remove all the muck and burn marks from the welding, it helps us see anything we have misses and can fix any holes or

The dragon
The dragon being worked in bronze. Putting it all together to complete the beast its self, my boss on the right, and the welder on the left, these 2 men have a combind age of almost 160years old!
