I've been seeing a lot of posts on how to "fix" the reward pool. A lot of these posts tell you to flag certain people, and the comments on these posts tend to go into some pretty intense

When I first came to Steemit, I immediately assumed that upvoting yourself is done just for fun, and doesn't really pay you anything. Any other option is just absurd, and could easily be manipulated by

I've been on Steemit for a few weeks now, which is enough to see plenty of "how to" posts explaining exactly how to make your post attract an upvote from a whale. They're all a little different,
