Summer Photography : Flowers in TokyoI have just concluded my epic 1 month summer vacation in Tokyo. When I looked at my photo gallery, I realised I had taken lots of pictures of flowers. During my daily walks, I often passed by parks, gardens, or even small houses with flowers in the front yard, and I just couldn’t stop myself from snapping photos of these beautiful blooms. Somehow, flower hunting turned into a little side goal during my daily walks.

Ōmiya Park is located in Saitama Prefecture, Japan, and is within walking distance from Ōmiya JR Station. I heard from my friends that the park is especially beautiful in spring, with around 1,000 cherry blossom trees, and even more stunning in autumn, when nearly 2,500 maple and ginkgo trees transform the landscape with vibrant colors. I’m looking forward to visiting again during those seasons, but for this stepisode, I’ll indulge you with the sight of unlimited lush greenery, as it’s still summer here in Japan.

I had zero plans, just went with the flow and let my feet decide where to go. Well technically, it was my stomach that dictated the itinerary that day. I was craving my favorite Yokohama Iekei ramen in Jiyugaoka, so that’s where I headed for lunch. I usually pair it with Gong Cha to fully satisfy the craving combo.

Heiwajima Ramen
I discovered this Yokohama-style ramen near Heiwajima Station and instantly loved it! While we were staying in an Airbnb nearby, we tried it—and I was hooked. In fact, I ended up eating there four times during our spring trip—hence the first four photos in this post. There were even two occasions when I walked 15 km round-trip from the Ikegami area (where I was already staying at the time) just to eat this ramen. Sure, I could have taken the train, but the walk made it feel even more special. I can't wait to do it again on my next trip to Japan.
Japan 🇯🇵 Withdrawal
It's been weeks since I came home from my epic three-season trip to Japan—from autumn to winter to spring. Now, the withdrawals and post-trip blues are hitting hard. ☹️ Sharing random snaps of my favorite eats, an unconventional birthday hike, and moments captured while I was aimlessly wandering the streets of Tokyo — just going wherever my feet would take me. Dunno when I’ll be back, but I’m already missing you my happy place 💔
