Hi xrayman. The car is a Renault Dauphine Gordini. It looks to be one of the 1964 cars with the uprated 1093cc air cooled engine. They were not fast at around 140km/h but compared to the standard model

Rolls Royce used their first V8 in 1905 but Riley and Standard both had V8s in 1935 ish. Due to fuel shortages after the war most European cars had quite small engines. We love V8s and me and Michelle
