Three coins for the price of one, or more exactly one token and two coins. Each with their own unique characteristics and used for completely different purpose. **PPT** is a token and not a crypto-currency. Its function is not for the purchase of goods or services but used as a collateral, a financial instrument in which funds can be secured against to loan to invoice sellers on the invoice discounting platform. **Poken** is a crypto-currency, an in-platform crypto-currency designed to transfer value from the invoice buyer to invoice seller and vice versa. How long will Poken be known as “in-platform crypto-currency” remains to be seen? **PXT** is truly a crypto-currency that can be used to purchase goods and services. PXT will be used to buy data from the soon to be released Data Platform. ## Who Will Want PXT? The everyday Joe going about his daily business will not be the one using the Data Platform but the players in the financial industry will. It makes perfect sense because the XBRL data set consists of financial data. To access this information, PXT will be required. PXT in the financial world will be the next best thing since sliced bread was first invented. Those in the financial industry should be salivating over the imminent PXT airdrop and launch of the Data Platform. PXT should be the one and only must have crypto-currency on their Christmas list. ### Lending Institutions A bank or other lending institutions will use the platform to access the financial history of customers who apply for loans to assess their risk. These could be short term loans to meet immediate liquidity needs or long terms loans to finance expansion. These lending institutions will no longer need the services of the more established credit reporting agencies when superior information can be obtained from the platform. ### Insurance Companies Insurance companies can utilise the platform to gauge the risk profile of their clients before setting their premium. With enhanced credit information from the platform, they can substantially lower their premiums. ### Upstream Companies A manufacturer that depends on downstream suppliers for parts or raw material can vet suppliers’ financial health. There is nothing more disruptive than a bigger fish not being able to pay and causing knock on effects to your business. ### Invoice Financing Companies Traditional invoice financing companies relies on external credit report agencies to provide them with credit reports for businesses. Instead of seeing Populous as their competition, they can use the platform to complement their service, since “enhanced” credit ratings are provided; they in turn can offer more preferential rates to their customers. ### Corporate Takeovers Companies wishing to expand by merging or wanting to take over a competitor can make use of the platform to carry out due diligence and financial modeling. Since XBRL reporting format is used around the world, companies can carry out initial due diligence on the platform before they foray off shore. ### Private Equity Firms Corporate raiders such as Private Equity firms can use the platform to search out companies to target. Unsavory as they may be, they do exist. Using the platform, target companies can quickly be identified as those brimming with prime assets. There are more use cases for the Data Platform because the XBRL data set is certainly a treasure trove of financial information. Access will be required on a continuous basis as the business environment changes over time and access will only be with PXT. A snap shot of the financial health of a business today does not mean that it will be the same one, two or even six months down the road. ## Half a Billion! The PXT tokens have already been minted and you can verify this yourself by looking on Etherscan. A total of 500,000,000 PXT coins are ready to be airdropped when the time is right. The number of coins available will certainly make PXT one of the crypto-currencies with the most coins in circulation. Although not in the billions, half a billion is still quite a number. However the number of PXT minted gives you a pretty good idea how confident Populous are in the quality of the information that can be obtained on the Data Platform. The demand will be high. The greater the number of coins available the wider the coin can spread throughout the financial industry worldwide. After all, the Data Platform is intended to be used in “ALL” countries. The ease of acquiring PXT will enable more institutions to access to the Data Platform, once inside this financial wonderland, all the goodies on full display will make spending PXT irresistible. There will be no shortage of PXT, like BTC and LTC, PXT is a crypto-currency and can be circulated back into the crypto-economy. ## The True Value of PXT Each coin airdropped will be of value 0.10p (approx. $0.13) and this is the teaser price to gain access to the Data Platform. Nevertheless, the ultimate use of PXT is to purchase information from the Data Platform and that is where it will find its true value. Just taking a guess, will PXT be distributed to “level the playing field” between those with large holdings of PPT compared to those who are loyal but only hold a small amount? Steve is the underdog and will want to see the underdog shine. What do I mean? In short, loyal minnows may be rewarded more PXT than those who are PPT whales. It will become a tool of choice when it permeates the financial industry. If you want to build and assess the viability of a financial model or just do simple market research then the Data Platform is for you. If you want to extract information from the XBRL data set, the APIs will allow you and it to become one. The Invoice Discounting Platform is just warning shot across the bow and the Data Platform is a sign of things to come.
