We raise broilers as well. We let them semi free range by putting a bit of a fence around the front of the chicken tractor. At night we put them inside and close the door to protect them from predators.

Wow, that is a lot of hay!!! That reminds me we have to get some straw on our garden for the winter so it can rot down and provide nutrients for next Spring. Right now we are so busy cutting and hauling
