RE: Why Online Play Will Never Be Local Play (A trip down memory lane)
That's one of the better things about the online play. I do prefere single player games, but I do like ocasional multyplayer games as well.

RE: Why Online Play Will Never Be Local Play (A trip down memory lane)
It can happen and it can be a problem, and I'm not a huge fan of it, but when it does happen it can be amazing :)

RE: Why Online Play Will Never Be Local Play (A trip down memory lane)
There are some interesting and fun things about online play, you can meet people from all over the world. People you might have never met before, as well as experience what it's like to go on a quest with

Online play can be fun, but nothing can be like having someone next to you, commenting, teasing you, just spending time with another person. I remember playing various fighting games with friends, or many

RE: The rise of indie developers
I haven't seen those documentaries, but I can imagine them getting people interested. I was part of a large company for a while, but I did work on several indie games as well. Both experiences were interesting

RE: The rise of indie developers
I remember meddling with RPG maker in the mid-2000s, I was not very good with it, but it was fun. For me, I got into game development because I wanted to make another Age of Wonders or new Freedom Force

RE: The rise of indie developers
I agree with your opinion. AAA market became stale with too many large developers just jumping on a trend, first with RTS games and then FPS games. I wouldn't mind being included at all :) feel free to

I bought it on GOG a while ago it was on one of the sales. I try to buy games on several websites as each have their own benefits.

That's a great game, but for me Pillars of Eternity managed to fill my need for complex RPGs. Both games are fun and amazing in their own way.

I agree that newer games are much more polished and that older games offere much more variaty, that's true. My main problem with the newer games is the lack of ganras I like, RTS games, turn based tactical

All points are valid, I consider knowing your guests the most important one, as the rest can be accommodated easily if you know who your guests will be.

RE: 3D Collision Detection in video games. Part #1
As a game designer this sounds very interesting, I won't say that I understood everything, or most of it :) but it was an interesting insight in the area I'm not good at.

That could be fun, but sadly not the same. I wish they'd make a new Red Alert game, that could be fun. Or to relse Emperor Battle for Dune again.

I love BundleStars, especially recently since they started with dollar bundles. Even if the games are not that great, usually, there are some gems out there.
