Hah! I don't think anyone in lab had too much difficulty holding them, but everyone was super gentle at first. They're so tough and the spines aren't as sharp as, say thorns, so it's not too bad. Great

The faster loading is going to help a ton in the long run. Thanks for improving that!

That raft study sounds wacky. I'm surprised anyone would volunteer for a 100+ day voyage on a raft. Also, for some reason the image is just a URL for that section.

Hah! They're virtually unknown where I'm from so much of the class hadn't seen or touched one before.

The sperm are supposed to have tails so they can move in water to the nearest egg. However, they're so much smaller than an egg that I wasn't able to resolve them under a microscope.
