Hola a todos, ¿qué tal lleváis este comienzo de Junio? Yo la verdad es que siento que será un mes estupendo.

Una de mis comidas favoritas de todos los tiempos, ha sido siempre las lentejas, en cualquier presentación. Y aprovechando que tenemos mucho más tiempo en casa para experimentar en la cocina quise traerles una receta de hamburguesas de lentejas que también pueden ser albóndigas.

Lavaremos las lentejas en un colador ó también podemos remojarlas en agua para quitarle las impurezas y luego colaremos. La pondremos en una olla con suficiente agua para que se cocine, pero no tanta para que no queden tan blandas, yo deje que el agua sobrepasara tres dedos por sobre las lentejas. Luego le colocamos la sal y el ajo para que agarre sabor y dejaremos cocinar por unos 30 minutos. **(Igual podemos ir revisando sacando algunos granos para ver si ya se ablandaron lo suficiente para poder manejar).**

Mientras nuestras lentejas se van cocinando, tomaremos el pimiento y la ceblla y los cortaremos en pequeños cuadros.

Luego lo llevaremos a un sartén y con un poco de aceite (no tanto) saltearemos nuestras verduras hasta que se ablanden un poco y se mezclen los sabores entre ambos. Este proceso dura unos 5 minutos, en cuanto notes que la cebolla se ve un poco transparente ya estarán listas.

Una vez listas nuestras lentejas, las colaremos nuevamente hasta quitarles muy bien el agua, las pasaremos a un bowl y con un tenedor iremos machacando (si tienes un pisador de papa mucho mejor). Luego añadiremos las verduras salteadas y con el mismo tenedor juntaremos todo. **Muy importante** debemos dejar reposar las lentejas por unos 20 minutos o más, hasta que baje la temperatura y podamos manejar la mezcla con las manos.

¡Vamos que ya estamos por terminar! Nos falta muy poquito para decir Bon Appetit. Ahora picaremos el cilantro muy pequeñito (esto le da un excelente sabor a las hamburguesas) lo mezclamos todo y por último, iremos añadiendo poco a poco nuestra harina. Debemos añadir la harina en pequeñas partes, no es una cantidad exacta, más bien debemos ponerle hasta que sintamos la comodidad para poder manejar las hamburguesas, eso sí, evita poner mucho porque puede cambiarle el sabor por completo a la mezcla.

Una vez que todos nuestros ingredientes estén juntos, haremos unas pequeñas bolitas del mismo tamaño todas, a mí de medio kilo de lentejas me salieron 14 hamburguesas. Con nuestras manos les haremos la forma y ¡al sartén! Podemos hacerlas de forma redonda, como una hamburguesa convencional, o también puedes hacerlas más alargadas como una milanesa. Ésta receta también funciona para hacer mini albóndigas.

> Once all our ingredients are together, we will make a few small balls of the same size all, to me of half a kilo of lentils I got 14 hamburgers. > With our hands we will make the shape and, go to the pan! > We can make them round, like a conventional hamburger. ¡Y listo! Ya están listas nuestras lentejas, puedes acompañarlas con arroz y ensalada como hice yo, pero también podemos hacerlas verdaderas hamburguesas, con su pan y sus salsas. Desde aquí puedes seguir experimentando con combinaciones hasta encontrar tú ideal. Recuerda que puedes añadirle otras verduras a la mezcla también. Ahora si BON APPETIT.
