Yes, the amount of visitors is tightly regulated by the Norwegian state, so you are hardly encountering mass tourism there! However in the town of Longyearbyen, there are still great bars and restaurants

Absolutely worth it! If you're in to skiing, I've heard July and August are amazing for skiing, especially for Off-Piste, since the locals stay strictly on the marked slopes. Or are you planning to go

Yea, most of the Islands were quite small, so there really wasn’t a chance to miss. On the bigger islands however the snow and the fact that the map only showed altitude curves made it a bit more challenging

No skis, the shores of some of the islands were quite steep and rocky, so skis wouldn’t have been very practical. Would love to do it in the north on skis though!
