La vida en el campo puede ser sumamente diversa, todo depende de la perspectiva de cada quien, pero para mí, el trabajo duro y rutinario es una constante, aunque de vez en cuando ocurren ciertos eventos que de alguna manera te sacan de esa rutina.

Lo que quiero compartir hoy, tiene que ver con una situación que para muchos puede representar un peligro, cosa que es muy cierto teniendo en cuenta el contexto en el que me encuentro, pero en este caso resultó no ser así.

Se trata de un inesperado encuentro con una pequeña serpiente que pude ver entre mis pies mientras me encontraba realizando labores de jardinería en el patio de mi casa, fue una total sorpresa y un gran susto por supuesto, pero una vez que pude identificar a nuestra pequeña amiga, alcancé a notar que no se trataba de una especie venenosa, así que respiré y tomé lo primero que encontré (una botella de plástico) para llevar a la serpiente a un lugar más alejado de cualquier persona, seguro tanto para ella como para mi familia...

Quiero destacar que es costumbre (no se si a nivel global) de los habitantes locales, dar fin a la vida de la serpiente solo por ser ella misma, no importa la razón, siempre terminan matando a esta especie, cosa que me desagrada mucho, recordemos que todos somos igual de importantes en el ecosistema, desde la más pequeña abeja hasta el más grande elefante.

Nota de interés: para diferenciar entre serpientes venenosas y las que no lo son, debemos fijarnos en las escamas de su cabeza, si estas son anchas o grandes, no es venenosa, en cambio, si son pequeñas o angostas, entonces alejate de inmediato!!!🤣

What I want to share today has to do with a situation that for many may represent a danger, which is very true considering the context in which I find myself, but in this case it turned out not to be so.

It is about an unexpected encounter with a small snake that I could see between my feet while I was gardening in the patio of my house, it was a total surprise and a great scare of course, but once I was able to identify our little friend, I managed to notice that it was not a poisonous species, so I breathed and took the first thing I found (a plastic bottle) to take the snake to a place further away from anyone, safe for both her and me family...

I want to emphasize that it is customary (I don't know if at a global level) of the local inhabitants, to end the life of the snake just for being itself, no matter the reason, they always end up killing this species, which I really dislike, Let's remember that we are all equally important in the ecosystem, from the smallest bee to the largest elephant.

Note of interest: to differentiate between poisonous snakes and those that are not, we must look at the scales on its head, if they are wide or large, it is not poisonous, on the other hand, if they are small or narrow, then stay away immediately! !!🤣
