Today’s thought - the main purpose (apart from community engagement) for dApps and tribes on steem is to help you make more STEEM. As an example, just by posting my report I can earn some STEEM and AFIT tokens. My number one goal with
now is to get to 10,000 AFIT tokens. Why? This will earn bigger upvotes from
. But that’s not all. By default, posting on
earns SPORTS tokens. I can stake SPORTS tokens. Staking compounds. The more I stake, the more I earn. Here’s what I did just the other day - I wanted to buy a meme-ish token (CATS) in S-E so, for a few days, instead of staking SPORTS I left them liquid until I had enough to buy 1 CATS. Because I’d staked all my SPORTS tokens (which I attained through zero effort) until then, it didn’t take long. CATS will also help me make more STEEM because they breed KITTENS that can be exchanged for CATS. More CATS makes KITTENS faster which makes more CATS faster. It’s a virtuous feedback loop and it’s all about STEEM. Sorry if this is obvious. I suppose this is my version of
’s Thinking Out Loud posts.
By the way, I did write a critical post a month or two ago about the correlation between the rise of tribes and the downward price movement of STEEM versus bitccoin. I still have the same view but am starting to realise how they can be leveraged for one’s advantage on steem. I think this is the effect of realising how little you know the more you learn.
Today’s activity - walking to and from the train station, a sneaky trip to buy coffee, an evening stroll with mrshill and a mini grocery shop.
Thanks for reading and happy hump day!
