I received an email that one of my Total Organist subscribers had died unexpectedly. His wife wanted a cancelation and prorated refund. I had just one concern - what if this is some kind of scam because this email can be written by anyone.
I wrote a message on Basecamp to this subscriber and a reply for his wife asking for some kind of ID. She sent me a link with his obituary and asked what kind of ID I would need. I asked for her selfie holding a driver's licence. So now I'm waiting for her reply and if it turns out to be true which I suspect it will, it will be a second time one of my subscribers had died.
A year or two ago a wife of another subscribed asked me to remove her husband's email from my list. I guess it's life... A lot of my subscribers are over 65 years old and we are not getting any younger.
