Today I finally made it to parkrun and tried somewhere different. Great Denham is a new village outside Bedford with a maze of streets. I'd heard it was a fast course. I got slightly lost on the way there, but eventually I found a car park and some fellow runners. It was a long walk/run to the start. The course is around a large open area and all on tarmac paths. It's very flat, but exposed if it's windy. Not too much wind today apart from a bit on the finishing straight. It was 2 laps and by the end of the first I was being overtaken. I may have started a bit quick. I plodded on and overtook a couple of people near the end.
Do I look tired? I finished 75th of 200 in 25:48. That's my best parkrun so far. It was my 15th event over 5 locations.
It seems I just beat another personal record.
I may return there some time, but it is an hour round trip in the car. Maybe I can find others who want to car share.
