Hi guys,
Time for Training Tuesdays. Let's begin.
To be very precise #Training Tuesdays are all about exploring exercises that can help you stay in shape and build muscle.
So the topic for discussion today will be step-ups.
Let's explore what is this step-up all about, and I assure you guys it isn't a movie 😂😂, then how to perform it correctly, muscles used, variations if any and precautions.
Alright, so the first question of the day is : What is step-ups a.k.a. A brief description of them & how to perform it properly? Phew that was lengthy enough lol. 😂😂😂😂
Step ups is stepping up and down a platform at a slow pace or fast pace. That's it.
Do this thing with your legs up and down then up and down .... for a minimum of 10 minutes if this is the only thing you want to do. Otherwise, a quick burst of 1 minute for 10-15 reps ought to do the trick.
As always remember to maintain proper technique, breathing and rest in between your exercises.
Muscles used:-
Quadriceps Famoros, Gluteus Maximus. That's it.
The video above shows you a better view of the muscles used. In short this is good for the thighs and the butt.
Variations:-
It's very important to master the basics but it's even more important to learn, improve and grow
if you want to take your fitness to the next level because you don't want to get bored doing the same thing over and over again and again do you? Now you know the purpose of variations. Lol.😂.
Precautions:-
Don't perform this exercise if you have back-ache, knee injures, anything that prevents the motion obviously.
Word of caution:- Talk to your doctor, physio before you begin if you have a previous history of injuries.
That's enough for today I guess. Phew.
Remember to tune in next week for your Tuesday Workout.
Until then upvote, comment and re-steem this post if you found it useful. Otherwise bitchslap me.
